Hello. My name is Praney (pronounced: Pra-né) and I welcome you with an open mind and a willingness to learn more about whatever might be holding you back in life or your relationship(s). I provide a safe space for individuals and couples to explore situations and emotions that might be causing distress. I do this by combining my training in human sexuality and counselling. I not only want you to feel heard but also feel supported, understood, and empowered to improve the quality of your life and your relationship(s). My approach to therapy is client-centred and collaborative. No two people’s journeys are the same. Therefore, I strive to explore solutions that work for you in your environment.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and have extensive experience working with heterosexual & queer individuals and couples. I have a Master’s degree in Human Sexuality from San Francisco State University and am currently finishing practicum towards a Master’s in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I have previously worked as a researcher exploring relationship dynamics and negotiations in the context of sexual health and taught several sexual health classes to medical students at Stanford University and the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). I am also the Executive Director at a not for profit organization based in Toronto that provides sexual health services, education, and support to racialized individuals, members of the queer community, and newcomers to Canada.
